Chaitali Lodaya’s Story

Happiness was brimming from all the corners of my world when I got to know that I was pregnant again, after my previous miscarriage. I consulted a couple of doctors and hospitals where  the 3rd month scan report of the baby was diagnosed to be a disease called “Down’s Syndrome”.The option given to me was to terminate the baby However, we chose Cloudnine as our maternity & birthing home as I believed that it was the perfect place to be consulted and to welcome our baby in style. Our doctor, Dr. Leela Bhagavan, promised me that baby is perfectly all right and also further investigations were done for our satisfaction.

On May 23rd 2012, mid-night, I discovered I had spotting and rushed up with my family in the ambulance. At around 6 in the morning I finally had severe pain. At this point I completely gave in to her advice and instructions, fully aware that I would be having a baby in a couple of hours. The pain was uncontrollable and I asked my doctor to go through a C-section. However, she refused to do so and helped me deliver normally.

Our little prince was born healthy and handsome. By God’s grace, family support and an army of highly qualified, experienced doctors, nurses and other supporting staff, he was safely taken care of by Cloudnine team. We feel that every penny spent at Cloudnine was more than it’s worth. We are proud and happy to be associated with Cloudnine and thank them for a warm and memorable experience.

Keep up the good work of bringing smiles to every mother who visits Cloudnine.

STORY OF MRS. CARMEL BINA PINTO

It's our 5 year anniversary

It's time say "Congratulations" to us - well it's not for a baby this time:-).

It's our 5 year anniversary with Cloudnine, a celebration of motherhood, a tiny baby grown into a little girl and a long term relationship with Cloudnine. It wasn't that long ago, in the summer of 2008, when I was pregnant with our daughter. After some discussion at home , we (my mother, husband and I ) made our way across town to this fairly new hospital. When we reached there we could not call it just a hospital. The warmth of the reception made me feel comfortable and it was a beautiful place for would-be mothers and babies. While we were there we randomly picked out my gynecologist, Dr. Prakash Kini, who, in my opinion is the best and coolest doctor! He never missed an appointment, made me feel like the pregnancy would be an easy process, answered my questions with complete dedication, is the only doctor who writes and the entire pregnancy details very neatly on a single sheet! My daughter was born a month early - Dr Kini was there and we got excellent medical attention in the first month as we needed some extra care.

We decided to continue with Cloudnine for pediatric care for our daughter and have been truly blessed with another amazing pediatrician in Dr.Kishore Kumar. As parents, we couldn't ask for more in terms of child healthcare. Vaccinations were gentle, ear piercing at 11 months easy and since our daughter started outdoor activities, we visit every two months. Dr. Kishore patiently examines our child and the highlight of our visit is the "Amazing Tattoo". The gentle approach to kids makes the visits easy.

It's been a special journey and our appreciation and thankfulness is enormous. May all the Cloudnine staff and families be showered with blessings for their hard work and dedication.

*** Shaswat –My Shining Star ***

When I realized that I am going to be a mother, the first thing I was concerned about was which doctor or hospital I should consult. We did a lot of research for getting the list of best hospitals in Bangalore. Few of our friends recommended “Cloudnine” to us and so we decided to visit the Jayanagar Branch.

We went to Cloudnine and the receptionist took us through the list of doctors. We decided to go with Dr. Prakash Kini. I should mention that Dr. Prakash Kini is the most wonderful doctor I have ever met. He encouraged me to enjoy my pregnancy to the maximum and instilled in me that it is not a disease, but a state of wellness.

Dr. Prakash also advised me to work as long as I feel fine and hence I was working until a day before my delivery. When I entered my 9thmonth, the scan showed that the baby’s head is big in size and I have fibroid in the uterus. So Dr. Prakash told me that normal delivery will be very painful for me as well as my baby and a surgery needed to be done for removal of the fibroid. Hence, he recommended a C-section which left me nervous. But Dr. Prakash Kini explained to us the pros and cons of C-section after which we got the confidence to go in for C-section.

18th July 2012 was the day when we decided that our baby should be out to see the wonderful world. I got admitted in the hospital at around 7 a.m. I was taken to O.T. at 10 a.m. My hubby was with me in the O.T. all the time so I didn’t feel the fear. In a few minutes, my baby was out. That was the most wonderful moment in my life.

People say that after C-section, you will have terrible pain and will not be able to walk. But I didn’t feel the pain at all and surprisingly after a few hours I was able to walk. The rooms in the hospital are so good that it feels more like a hotel than a hospital. The nurses were helpful and were available round the clock. The best part about the service is that when you are going to the O.T., the room door has a caption saying “Arriving Soon” and after delivery the caption is “It’s a baby boy”. The hospital also provides lactation classes for first time mothers so that we know how to feed the baby.

Now my baby “Shaswat”, which means “Everlasting or Continuous”, is 10 months old and we are consulting Dr.Girish S.V. for any health related issues or vaccination.

Thanks for the overwhelming hospitality, Cloudnine. Keep up the good work!!!!. We are extremely proud and happy to be associated with Cloudnine and thank them for a warm and memorable experience.

Regards,

Smita, Shekhar and Shaswat
